It was and still is a privilege to enter the grounds of one of the wonderfully placed, luxury schools in the area I reside. The times wherein I commuted to work and church, I would see the names of the school beaming in all her glory; colours of fortune, dignity, success and good character, “Meadow Hall”.
I wonder at what the activities would be in this particular school environment and wished to be allowed in. Many friends of mine had spoken well about the school, the quality of education provided, the noble citizens of the world they deliver, their processes and a whole lot more, then my interest peaked. I was eager to know more about this place for there were glowing recommendations here and there.
If I say I am charmed to be in this environment, then that would be an understatement; I am delightfully charmed to be on the grounds of Meadow Hall. Their security detail is so efficient and courteous. I walked in from the gate through the glass doors, which are also programmed with a code that would only permit my entrance with the efficient assistance of the security personnel at the door, into the reception. (A school with a proper reception and you are welcomed with such infectious warmth!!!) I was taken aback a bit more when I noticed keenly, the culture of courtesy employed by staff. Even if they had not met you before, they would kindly exchange pleasantries. That did shock me, indeed given my experience in the places I have worked, the competition and dog-eat-dog syndrome being the order of the day was indeed absent. Courtesy is of great importance here. Children would greet, obey, behave and walk briskly but properly. The way the staff are put together in such an attractive manner leaves one enthralled. This place speaks of enlightenment, peace, fruitfulness, growth that is on a continuum, stability, hardwork, commitment, charity, consistency, satisfaction and the willing desire to explore.
Meadow Hall is an institution that has raised the bar. She has set the standard in Nigeria, West Africa and beyond, what education is supposed to be and how education in Nigeria should be perceived. Meadow Hall School (MHS) has successfully put in professionalism into the teaching career that would opportune teachers to work and enjoy their jobs. One thing I believe that every individual desires is training and re-training. A teacher would be interested to put into practice successful methods of teaching, though not tried by other professionals. MHS has raised the bar by ensuring effectiveness of training teachers and bringing them out as seasoned professionals while ensuring that they are on a trajectory towards their path in creative development and distinction.
On the other hand, MHS also ensures that her corporate social responsibility to the community is not neglected as they ensure that the less-privileged are given the quality assistance that would improve them.
While at the school, I observed their beautiful environment and state of the art facilities in delivering their services to their clients. They have the best crop of educationists which are highly sought after, headed by the amiable Directress, Mrs. Kehinde Nwani, a prolific educationist, trainer, mentor and business woman.
Indeed, I had a splendid time visiting with the people in Meadow Hall School and would gladly recommend this school to people of purpose and those who choose to have their children trained in the culture of education and creativity in Nigeria.
